Welcome! I am an Educational Specialist for the Lawrence Virtual Middle School. This is my fifth year at LVS. The previous four years I worked for the Virtual High School program so this is my first year at the middle school. My content area is Social Studies. While I enjoy all social studies subjects, world history is my favorite. I especially enjoy learning and teaching about Ancient Egypt, the Ottoman Empire and World War II.

I live in Lindsborg, KS with my husband, Phillip, and our daughter, Jillian. She just turned 2 this past summer on August 3rd and we will be having another little girl sometime in January 2010. We also have a dog named Bear and a cat named Caiaphas and Leo the fish. Both my husband and I went to Bethany College here in Lindsborg. Other than Lindsborg our other favorite Kansas town is Lawrence, we both really love it there. We are KU fans. I was born and raised a KU fan (my dad attended KU and ran track) but my husband became a fan after he married me!! Other than KU my interests include reading, camping and traveling. One of my goals in life is to go to Egypt. I already have the trip planned down to every detail I just need to find the time and money to go!!!
